Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Biomechanics

The Department of Sport and Exercise Science seeks applicants for a
permanent position in the area of biomechanics.
The successful applicant will be expected to develop a strong
independent research program in his/her area of expertise, and teach
biomechanics at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Applicants must
hold a doctoral qualification, have experience in biomechanics and a
demonstrated record of publication in international peer-reviewed
journals. A particular emphasis in sport biomechanics and/or physical
ergonomics may also be desirable, as well as clearly identifiable
potential synergies with current research activities in the Department.
The appointee will be expected to contribute to both undergraduate and
postgraduate teaching as well as supervise postgraduate students.
Applicants should have a demonstrated ability to attract external
research grants and be prepared to develop and strengthen relationships
with industry and government agencies. Appointment at Senior Lecturer
level will be considered for applicants with a significant track record
in research, teaching and postgraduate supervision.
