Children's Memorial Hospital, (Chicago), one of the nation's top 10
pediatric hospitals has an excellent opportunity for a full time
Kinesiologist or Biomechanical Engineer to join our Motion Analysis Center.
In this role, you will perform clinical gait analysis evaluations, including
data collection, interpretation of patient data and report generation. In
addition, you will actively participate in education of peers through
lectures, inservices and tutorials. We also offer and encourage research
    opportunities.

Since 1882, Children's Memorial Hospital has been recognized nationally for
its excellent and comprehensive clinical care. As the #1 pediatric hospital
in Illinois, Children's Memorial offers children and their families leading

medical center in the area, striving to help kids lead longer and healthier
    lives.

The Motion Analysis Center was established in 1989 and is equipped with a
camera-based motion capture system, two force platforms, a sixteen channel
EMG system, a plantar pressure measurement system, metabolic energy
measurement system and a musculoskeletal modeling system. We utilize a
multidisciplinary team approach combining engineering, biomechanics and
clinical expertise to assess the walking patterns and posture of children
and adolescents with myelomeningocele, cerebal palsy, rotational
deformities, club foot, limb deficiency and other neurologic and orthopaedic
    conditions.

Children's Memorial Hospital is located in the heart of the bustling Lincoln
Park neighborhood of Chicago, minutes away from Lake Michigan, the
Magnificent Mile, Lincoln Park Zoo and Wrigley Field.

We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package in a
    rewarding work environment.

Previous experience working with children with neuromuscular disabilities
and treatment approaches available for these patients is highly desirable,
but not required. If you have a Bachelors (Masters preferred, but not
required) in kinesiology, engineering or physical therapy with a strong
background in biomechanics, previous exposure to the techniques involved in
kinematic, kinetic and electromyographic data collection, the interpretation
of pathological and normal gait analysis data, previous research experience
and the ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians and
