    Hi Everyone

My question pertains to the computation of absolute foot angles.

I have been using an embedded coordinate system and a yxz rotation sequence
(dp/pf,inv/ev, int/ext rot) in the foot to compute the three absolute
rotations needed for inverse dynamics. I am finding that across children, my
algorithms are not performing very well - the problems include singularities,
noise and abnormally large ROM for some of the data.

I am looking for a robust method of calculating foot absolute angles,
preferably using an embedded coordinate system. Can anyone suggest some
references which may help in this matter. I am also interested in knowing the
various methods used by others to compute inversion/eversion if embedded
    coordinate systems are not used.

    Thanks in advance
    I will post all responses
