Job Title: Research Physiotherapist (Senior I) (Fixed Term 5 years)
Location: Physiotherapy
Initially Based At Musgrave Park Hospital, Belfast, Northern Ireland
A highly motivated person with an interest in research and working with
children with a disability is required for this exciting five year project
funded by the Northern Ireland Research and Development office. The
project, which will be based at the Gait Analysis Laboratory, Musgrave Park
Hospital, is a population based survey of the locomotor abilities of
children with Cerebal Palsy in Northern Ireland
Applicants Must:
Have a BSc in Physiotherapy or membership of the Chartered Society of
Physiotherapy or equivalent.
Be State Registered or eligible for registration
Have two years clinical experience, with at least six months experience in
the management / treatment of children with physical disability.
Have evidence of professional development and continuing education.
Have evidence of participating in research activities. Have basic computer
literacy.
The project will involve working closely with the existing multidisciplinary
team, which includes a bioengineer (manager), consultant orthopaedic surgeon
an a research physiotherapist. Training and support will be provided and if
you do not possess a higher degree you will be encouraged to study for
either a MPhil or PhD qualification.
