Please use the contact information in the following posting if you are

    ************************************************** ************************

Miller K. "Biomechanics of Brain for Computer Integrated Surgery" (ISBN:
    83-7207-347-3) has been finally published.

The book contains results of seven years of research into the mechanical
properties of the brain and other soft tissues at moderate strain rates
relevant to simulating surgical procedures. Chapters 1 and 2 contain an
introduction and solid-mechanical prerequisites. Chapters 3 and 4 discuss
biomechanical behaviour of brain tissue in-vitro. In chapter 5, biomechanics

of brain in-vivo is analysed. Chapter 6 shows possible application of the
theory developed in Chapters 3 and 4 to liver and kidney tissues. Chapter 7
summarises theoretical and experimental results and proposes directions for
    future research.

More information about the book is available on the publisher's web site

    Cheers,
    Karol
