  • Finger and Palm compression

    Hello,

I am a Ph.D researcher and my current work involves the analysis of
sports equipment during impacts. I am currently trying to simulate the
damping properties of the hands experimentally using foam samples and
theoretically using computer models. However, I have been unable to
find any physical properties of the fingers and palm including the
forces required to compress the soft tissue or a Shore rating for the
soft tissue of the fingers and palm.

Does any one know of a website or journal article that could help direct
my search? or has some one already simulated the hands using available
materials? Any information would be much appreciated.

    Thank you for your time.
