RESEARCHER - BIOMECHANICS
GEO-CENTERS, INC., a high technology, growth-oriented research and development firm specializing in scientific and engineering services for the Department of Defense is seeking a full-time Researcher to support our operations at the Center for Military Biomechanics Research in Natick, Massachusetts.
The successful candidate will design and implement protocols and studies in biomechanics to assess the effect of clothing, footwear, load-carriage equipment, and other personal equipment on soldiers' ability to carry out their mission.
Experience with basic tools for collecting biomechanical data, including video motion analysis systems, force plates, and EMG systems, is necessary. Specific experience with the Peak Performance Technologies and/or Qualysis motion analysis systems would be helpful. The successful candidate will be able to perform statistical analysis on the data collected and prepare manuscripts suitable for publication in scientific journals. The ability to write computer programs to carry out data analysis is necessary. Master's degree and experience in biomechanics, exercise physiology, or biomedical engineering will be considered. Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
