The Departments of Biomedical Engineering and Orthopaedic Surgery at the
Cleveland Clinic Foundation are seeking applications from early or
mid-career scientists with records of achievement in the area of Orthopaedic
Biomechanics. The successful candidate will become a member of two
outstanding departments and will be an integral part of the Orthopaedic
Research Center, which focuses the resources of the two departments in the

research exist, and there are excellent linkages between basic and clinical
research. Areas of interest include joint biomechanics, ligament/tendon
mechanics, robotics, modeling, surgical planning, prosthetic joint design
and performance, or other areas of currently viable orthopaedic biomechanics
research. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree, a
strong record of independent extramural funding and publication in
peer-reviewed journals, and the desire and ability to work closely with
practicing orthopaedic surgeons.
The Cleveland Clinic Foundation is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action

Applicants should submit a letter of application, complete curriculum vitae,
a statement of current and future research goals, and details of three
