    Position: Associate Professor in Athletic Training (Tenure Track Position)
    LPN# 820500

    Responsibilities: Coordinate the graduate (M.S. and Ph.D.) program in
    athletic training. Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in athletic
    training. Conduct independent and collaborative research in athletic
    training and/or related areas such as applied physiology, orthopaedics, or
    biomechanics that merits extramural funding and publication in scholarly,
    refereed journals. Mentor graduate students and become involved in
    professional service.

    Qualifications: An earned doctorate in athletic training/sports medicine
    and evidence of scholarly achievements in athletic training/sports medicine.
    Minimum three years experience as a faculty member in a university/college
    setting and NATA certified for a minimum of five years. Qualified minority
    and women candidates are encouraged to apply.

    Salary: Commensurate with qualifications. This is a nine-month, tenure
    accruing position.

    Effective date of employment: August, 2003

    General Information: As a member of the Association of American
    Universities, the University of Florida is considered one of the nation's
    premiere research institutions. The University currently has approximately
    45,000 students registered, with the Department of Exercise and Sport
    Sciences enrolling approximately 800 undergraduate, 150 masters, and 50
    doctoral students. The department is housed in the College of Health and
    Human Performance, which is one of 17 university colleges. The College has
    recently completed a $15 million construction and renovation program, and
    the department is equipped with state of the art research laboratories,
    classrooms and offices. By car, the campus is located one hour from the
    Gulf of Mexico, 90 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean, and two hours from
    Orlando.
