    Post-Doctoral Research Associate

A two year post-doctoral position is currently available in the Motor
Control Laboratory, Division of Kinesiology and the Department of
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Michigan.
Current research interests focus on pediatric upper limb motor control
and rehabilitation with particular interest in bimanual control, grip
strength development, and limb-posture coordination. Opportunities exist
for participation in other, ongoing studies such as aging and Parkinson's
Disease, as well as collaboration with other motor control research
faculty. A desire to develop an independent line of research is
encouraged. The candidate will be expected to design and conduct
experiments, analyze data, prepare manuscripts for publication, and
participate at national level conferences. This position is funded by an
NIH T32 rehabilitation training grant and offers a competitive salary
    with excellent benefits.

Interested candidates must possess a PhD or MD-PhD degree in motor
    control/development, biomechanics, neurorehabilitation, or a
closely-related field. Experience with three-dimensional motion analysis
systems and related software (Labview, Matlab) is highly desirable.
Candidates must be highly motivated and willing to combine theoretical
and clinical approaches in the study of motor deficits and rehabilitation.

It is expected that candidates will possess excellent verbal and written
communication skills, and work well in a team setting.

Interested applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and
the names and addresses of three references to Susan H. Brown, Ph.D.,
Associate Dean for Research, Division of Kinesiology, The University of
Michigan, 401 Washtenaw Ave, Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA 48109-2214
Applications may be emailed (shcb@umich.edu). Review of applications
    will begin immediately.
