Lecturer in Biomechanics of Sport
Vacancy ref: A6889/1
Salary within the Lecturer A Scale: £22,053 to £26,018 per annum (inclusive of London Allowance).
We are seeking an enthusiastic member of staff to teach and to undertake research in the Biomechanics of Sport.
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- a completed doctorate (or be working towards a doctorate) in the Biomechanics of Sport;
- experience in teaching Biomechanics of Sport;
- a developing record of research in the Biomechanics of Sport and be able to contribute to the research culture of the sub-discipline;
- an enthusiasm for sport and exercise.
Some experience of sports science support provision and BASES accreditation would be an advantage, although an opportunity to initiate BASES Supervised Experience is available.
Candidates should be willing to: contribute to the broad base of course in the Department; supervise undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations; and, if required, contribute to other aspects of the work of the Department.
