    COLLEGE OF NATURAL SCIENCES DEPARTMENT OF KINESIOLOGY

    We are seeking to recruit faculty members who will contribute to the goals
    and objectives of the University’s strategic plan. Accordingly, preferred
    candidates will be expected to meet the traditional requirements of
    excellence in teaching, active scholarly and professional work, and service
    to the University and community, as well as to demonstrate interest or
    experience in at least one of the following strategic plan areas: a)
    alternative modes of instructional delivery to include off-campus and
    distance learning; b) the learning process, i.e., innovative teaching
    strategies and/or research on how students learn and apply knowledge over an
    extended period of time; and c) partnership with the community to enhance
    social, economic, and cultural conditions.

    Position. The Department of Kinesiology invites applications for a
    tenure-track position in Biomechanics at the assistant professor level.
    Scholarly activities are expected. The successful candidate will use the
    Motion Analysis and Noraxon EMG equipment in our Biomechanics laboratory.
    An ability to develop a profile of extramural funding also is desirable.
    The candidate will teach, advise students and serve on department, college
    and university committees.

    Qualifications. Earned doctorate in Kinesiology/Physical Education with a
    specialization in Biomechanics. College level teaching is preferred. A
    documented commitment to excellence in teaching at both the undergraduate
    and graduate level is expected. Additionally, the candidate must have
    correlate teaching areas (i.e., motor control, adapted physical activity,
    athletic training, measurement and evaluation, pedagogy, etc.). We
    especially encourage women and minorities and those interested in
    occupational biomechanics to apply.

    SALARY: Dependent on qualifications and experience.
    Assistant Professor range begins at $43,632.
