Job Description:
We have opportunities at both our Los Angeles and Denver offices to join our
biomechanics team. Vector Scientific offers consulting services in the
areas of Biomechanics, Engineering, and Animation. Our biomechanical work
includes investigation and analysis of injuries automotive collisions,
sport/recreation accidents, slip/trip and fall incidents, and occupational
accidents. Forensic biomechanics is an applied science. The legal
community often calls upon scientists for consultation, analysis, and expert
witness testimony regarding technical issues. In the forensic arena,
biomechanists are asked to evaluate and describe human body kinematics and
kinetics, and the presence or absence of specific injury mechanisms applied
to an injured party. The methods employed usually involve review of medical
documentation describing the injuries, inspection of the accident site,
inspection of protective safety equipment, and review and application of
scientific literature and test data. We also conduct research testing to
investigate scientific questions presented in our real-world cases.

Job Requirements:
Requirements include minimum of Master of Science (M.S.) degree in
Biomechanics/Kinesiology, Biomechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering,
or a closely-related science. The ideal candidate will possess experience
and interest in musculoskeletal injury biomechanics and/or automotive
safety. Strong written and oral skills are required. You will be required
to use both individual and team-oriented approaches to problem solving.

Compensation Package:
