*********************** SECOND ANNOUNCEMENT
***************************
You are cordially invited to attend the upcoming Second Berlin Symposium
on:
SIGNIFICANCE OF MUSCULO-SKELETAL SOFT TISSUE ON
PRE-OPERATIVE PLANNING, SURGERY AND HEALING
13th and 14th February 2003
Charité Campus Virchow Clinic,
Berlin, Germany
The goal of the Symposium:
To initiate a discussion between researchers from the fields of
physiology/biology and biomechanics with clinicians. To complement
the current understanding of the significance of the surrounding
soft tissues as the predominant "extra-osseous" blood supply, as
coverage of bone and as actuators in restoring biomechanical
balance.
Main topics:
The importance of muscles during pre-operative planning
Post-traumatic changes in soft tissue biology
Musculo-skeletal loading influences tissue healing
Abstract Submission Deadline: 1st December 2002
Full details of the meeting under:

Organisation:
Professor Dr. Georg N. Duda,
