Tenure Track Position Available
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR- ATHLETIC TRAINING PROGRAM DIRECTOR
The University of Nebraska at Omaha invites applications for a tenure track
position as an assistant professor in a CAAHEP accredited undergraduate and
entry-level graduate athletic training program. Screening of credentials
will begin December 1, 2002, and continue until the position is filled.
Anticipated starting date is August 18, 2003.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate the Athletic Training Curriculum Program; teach athletic
training and sports medicine courses; place and supervise practica and
internship students; advise students; conduct research and participate in
scholarly activity; provide departmental, college, university and
professional service.
Qualifications: Requirements include doctoral degree or ABD in Athletic
Training, Physical Education/Exercise Science or related area; current
NATABOC certification; and eligibility for State of Nebraska, Department of
Health and Human Services, athletic training license. Experience
coordinating an athletic training program at the college or university
level; experience teaching athletic training and sports medicine courses at
the college or university level; experience with practica and internship
placement and supervision and established record of scholarly activity with
a strong commitment to research preferred.
Rank and Salary: Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications
and experience.
