Graduate assistantships are available in the Biomechanics lab of the School
of Kinesiology and Recreation at Illinois State University in Normal,
Illinois. Students will enroll in a Master of Science degree, which is a
33-hour program of study typically completed over 2 academic years.
Laboratory work will focus on the mechanics of energy absorption by the
lower extremity during drop landings, or muscle activity patterns during
strength training exercises. The assistantships, including a full tuition
waiver and a competitive stipend, are available to full-time students
during both years of study. Other forms of financial aid, including
Minority Tuition Waivers, Trustees' Tuition Waivers, and scholarships, are
