Please post the following position on Biomch-L with the resume if
possible.
Thanks and regards
Title : POSTDOCTORAL position in cellular biophysics
including cell motility, cell contractility
and smooth muscle dynamics and arterial vasomotion.
Location: Cellular Biophysics and Biomechanics Laboratory
Swiss Federal Institute of Technology
1015 Lausanne, Switzerland
Date: January 1, 2003
RESUME: The job involves development of original theoretical
models in close link with the experimental work performed in the
laboratory: Cell motility - understanding of the cytoskeleton turnover
and cell motility as an integrated physical phenomena, Smooth muscle
dynamics and arterial vasomotion - analysis of the recruitment and
synchronization of SMC leading to diameter oscillations of muscular
arteries, Cell contractility - investigation of the molecular and
mechanical regulators of single cell contractile activity.
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree in Biophysics, Mathematics,
Physics or related fields. Knowledge of French is not necessary.
