I am seeking any information that would relate to gait
and hereditary or genetic influences. I have found
some studies relating anthropometry and similar gait,
but lacking research on gait studies of families. The
interest lies in trying to find out if a family will
demonstrate certain gait characteristics. If so, the
question is, are there any patterns that may
predispose to pathology. Is there anyone aware of
cultural factors and gait, or factors that would
suggest a "learned" gait? Studies on twins? Any
direction would be helpful and appreciated. Thank
you.
