FACULTY POSITION OPENING
The Department of Physical Therapy at Northern Arizona University is
seeking an individual for our entry-level and post-professional curriculum.
Candidates will be expected to enhance and contribute to curricular content
related to neuromuscular and/or musculoskeletal therapeutics, including
application of therapeutic exercise across the life span and experience in
a broad scope of interventions across the preferred practice pattern areas
identified in The Guide to Physical Therapist Practice. Applicants should
have previous academic teaching experience or experience teaching physical
therapists or physical therapy students. Prior experience in clinical
research efforts and implantation of evidence-based practice models is
preferred. Other desired qualifications include involvement in a wide
spectrum of teaching models, including distributed learning, and
supervision of students in clinical settings. Experience with or commitment
to work with diverse cultural backgrounds is required.
This new appointment is at the Visiting Assistant Professor level for three
years with the intention being to covert it into a tenure track position at
the conclusion of this three year period. Applicants must possess an earned
post professional advanced degree. Post-professional master's or post
professional clinical doctorate degree required, post-professional academic
doctorate preferred. Post-professional doctorate preferred for conversion
to tenure-track position. Applicants must be eligible for physical therapy
licensure in Arizona.
