Doctoral opportunity in biomaterials research
Funding is available for a period of three years to support a suitable
student wishing to work towards a PhD qualification in the area of
articular cartilage research.
The project will focus on microstructural, ultrastructural and
biomechanical aspects of articular cartilage with a particular emphasis
on investigating changes associated with its osteoarthritic
degeneration.
Stipend: $20,000/year (tax-free) plus PhD registration fee up to the
level charged to NZ postgraduate students.
(Note: Postgraduate students from Australia, France and Germany also
levied at the same rate as NZ students by virtue of a reciprocal
arrangement.)
