The Research Lab of the Dept. of Trauma and Reconstructive
Surgery at the Charite, Humboldt-University of Berlin has a
three-year opening for a Post Doc.
We are a young and dynamic research laboratory with expertise
in bone healing, musculo-skeletal loading and soft tissue trauma.
The project concerns the healing process of bone under defined
mechanical conditions. It involves experimental analysis of the
biological healing process by means of histology, immunhistology,
in situ- hybridization and histomorphometric analysis.
The selected candidate will have access to a state-of-the-art
histology lab, image analysis systems and cell biology lab. In
addition, a biomechanical setting (testing machine and computer
facilities) are also available. Trained technicians ensure an
outstanding research environment.
We expect a background (Ph.D.) in biology or veterinary medicine
and expierence in histology. You should be interested to work in
a team with partners from medicne, engineering and biology.
Knowledge of the German language is not necessarily required
but foreigners are expected to learn German during their stay.
