ISB Student Grant Applications for 2003

    **********************************

The International Society of Biomechanics (ISB) offers now the annual Student Grants for the year 2003. Student members of ISB are eligible for the following three grants:

    1. The Matching Dissertation Grant Program

There will be several competitive grants of $2000 made for doctoral dissertation research. A condition is that the applicant will have a commitment from her/his institution or another source to provide a further matching $2000. This program is applicable to those who are doctoral candidates and are seeking assistance with costs of their dissertation research.

    2. The International Travel Grant Program

In order to allow student members to travel abroad to experience science in other cultures, the ISB offers several grants of $2000 for travel related to biomechanics research. A report on the accomplishments during the trip will be expected by the Executive Council.

    3. The Congress Travel Grant Program:

This grant is offered only in the years of an ISB Congress, therefore, it will be offered in 2003 to help reduce the travel expenses to attend the XIXth ISB Congress in Dunedin, New Zealand . The ISB will offer several travel grants of up to $1000 to student members who will be presenting their research results at the 2003 ISB Congress in Dunedin, New Zealand.

Applications are to be received by January 24, 2003. Further details and application form can be found under:
