  • pelvis-trochanteric muscles and gait

    Dear all,

As a physiotherapy teacher, some students ask me about the role of the
pelvis-trochanteric muscles (piriformis, obturator internus and externus,
quadratus femoris) during gait: what about there actions 1) in the pelvis
sagittal adjustment, 2) hip extension, abduction or adduction and lateral
    rotation.
I tried to check literature (as Gait Analysis from J Perry) and Medline but
    I didn't find anything.
Could somebody help the students and me.
