  • Faculty Position in Biomechanics at the University of Kentucky

    The Department of Kinesiology and Health Promotion at the University of
    Kentucky is seeking an assistant professor with an expertise in
    biomechanics to become part of the faculty in our exercise science
    program. This position will provide an opportunity to interact with
    faculty and students from Kinesiology, Orthopaedics, Minimally Invasive
    Surgery, Physical Therapy, Athletic Training, Biomedical Engineering,
    Sports Medicine, Robotics and other related fields. The Biodynamics Lab is
    a multi-disciplinary facility housed in the Center for Biomedical
    Engineering. Current projects include analysis of landing and cutting with
    and emphasis on ACL injuries, analysis of tennis serve techniques,
    ergonomic analysis of surgical procedures, and equipment related to the
    performance of minimally invasive surgery. Additional information about

    University of Kentucky, Kinesiology and Health Promotion -- Assistant
    Professor. Responsibilities: Undergraduate and graduate teaching in
    biomechanics; conduct research; advise graduate students; secure extramural
    funding; serve as associate director of the University of Kentucky
    Biodynamics Laboratory. Qualifications: Earned doctorate in biomechanics
    required, support work in motor control preferred, evidence of successful
    college teaching; potential for research and grant writing; ability to work
    in interdisciplinary research. Salary commensurate with qualifications and
    experience. Review of applications begins February 15,2003 and continues
    until position is filled. Appointment is contingent upon
    funding. Candidates should submit a letter of application, vita, a
