Faculty Position at the Assistant, Associate or Professor Level

Description:
The Department of Orthopedic Surgery invites applications for a faculty
position at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor level
with research interests in the area of human motion analysis. Outstanding
candidates are sought who can develop a strong independent research
program. The department has an ongoing research program in orthopedic
biomechanics with federal, corporate, foundation and departmental financial
support. Further details on the research program can be found at
www.ortho.rush.edu. Excellent opportunities exist for collaboration with
scientists within this and other departments in the Medical Center and an
Engineering School in close proximity.
Qualifications:
Applicants must hold an earned doctorate in Bioengineering, Electrical or
Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline and either have an
established externally funded research program or a demonstrated potential
for developing such a program. Applications at the Assistant Professor
level must show exceptional promise, and have research experience beyond
that of their doctoral dissertation. The successful candidate is expected
to expand the current externally funded research programs, oversee the
human motion analysis laboratories and supervise graduate students and
doctors in residency and fellowship programs.
