General Information
The IX International Symposium on Computer Simulation in Biomechanics
(ISCSB2003) will be hosted by The University of Sydney, Australia, from the
2nd to 4th July 2003. This Symposium, organized by the ISB Technical Group
on Computer Simulation (TGCS), is a satellite event of the XIX Congress of
the International Society of Biomechanics (ISB) which will take place at
the University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand, July 6-12, 2003.
The symposium will be a scientific and technical meeting for investigators
and students whose focus is computer simulation in biomechanics, especially
human movement, musculoskeletal modelling, motor control and robotics
related to biomechanics.
The tradition of the TGCS symposia is to provide a format that stimulates
vigorous interaction among the participants. Thus, each presenter, after
the oral presentation, will have the opportunity to give an interactive
demonstration of related software. There will be only one session at a time
to facilitate continuity of debate among participants. Therefore, about
30-40 papers only will be accepted for presentation. Priority will be given
to papers accompanied by computer demonstration.
Computers will be accessible for informal exchange of information between
participants as well as demonstrations. Participants are encouraged to
include video of their results, especially if the results concern motion.
