Dear list members
As many of you are aware the displacement of the center of mass of a person, moving over a force platform can be measured using integration methods of force data recorded by the force platform. If it is not possible to have subject stand still on the force platform during part of the motion recorded, estimates of at least one displacement of the center of mass of the person between two force platform measurements and one of the velocity of the centre of mass between measurements needs to be made.
Does anyone know of data or theoretical arguments that might distinguish between methods that may be used to make such estimates.
Thanking you in advance
