    ASME International Mechanical Engineering Congress and R&D Expo
    November 16 - 21, 2003 Washington, D.C., USA

    The Bioengineering Division of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers
    cordially invites your attendance at the 2003 ASME International Mechanical
    Engineering Congress and R&D Expo. Authors and presenters are invited to
    participate in this event to expand international cooperation, understanding
    and promotion of efforts and disciplines in the area of Bioengineering and

    Location: The 2003 Congress and R&D Exposition will be held at two hotels:
    The Marriott Wardman Park Hotel and the Omni Shoreham Hotel. The hotels are
    located across the street from each other. All technical sessions,
    registration, publication sales and the exposition will be held at the
    Marriott. All other meetings or events will be split between the Marriott
    and the Omni.

    SUBMISSION INFORMATION: For this year, all abstracts are to be submitted
    on-line at the new ASME conference website:
    http://www.asmeconferences.org/congress03/CallForPapers.cfm and follow the
    links for "Bioengineering"

    IMPORTANT DATES - NOTE NEW DEADLINES FOR THIS YEARS MEETING:
    March 1, 2003: Deadline for submitting a short 150-200 word abstract
    consisting of a title, author list- affiliation, and the abstract. This
    short abstract will be used by the session organizers only to setup their
    sessions, and will NOT be published.

    March 31, 2003: Notification of Abstract Acceptance and preliminary
    identification of technical sessions

    June 16, 2003: Notification of tentative acceptance to authors.

    July 18, 2003: Submission of final official ASME two page abstract.
