I am a Phd student researching the adaptive plasticity of the nervous
system. Currently I am using the H reflex as a research 'tool' which
obviously invoves the technique of electrical stimulation. I wondered
whether any list members have come across a device that can be used to hold
the stimulating electrode in a fixed position, at a constant pressure, in
the popliteal fossa, when eliciting a soleus H reflex. I have found that
'manually' it is difficult to maintain stimulus constancy because of
electrode placement variation, and wondered if there was a knee brace or
similar device that would keep a stimulating electrode in a fixed position
throughout testing.
Many thanks for any advice
