    Position: Assistant or Associate Professor, Tenure Track:
    Biomechanics and Orthopedic Physical Therapy

    The Department of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences in the
    Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University seeks a
    full-time Assistant or Associate Professor in the area of orthopedic
    disorders of movement function. The position will be offered in the
    tenure track. Salary is negotiable.

    Applicants will hold an earned doctorate (PhD, EdD, DSc) in
    Biomechanics, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,
    Physical Therapy or a related discipline and likely will have a
    clinical degree, preferably in Physical Therapy. Postdoctoral
    training is strongly preferred. Applicants should demonstrate a
    successful record of research, reflected in extramural grant
    acquisition and publication in high quality peer-reviewed journals.
    Prior experience with research in human subjects and in persons with
    orthopedic dysfunction affecting movement, combined with a strong
    background in Systems Biomechanics, is required. Collaborations with
    Faculty in the Departments of Orthopedic Surgery, Biomedical and
    Mechanical Engineering are available and will be encouraged. With
    the abundance of high quality research experiences within the broader
    Northwestern complex, including the Rehabilitation Institute of
    Chicago, Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Children's Memorial
    Medical Center, this faculty opening represents a significant
    opportunity for the well- prepared candidate.
