Mega Electronics Ltd.
Kuopio, Finland
Mega Electronics Ltd (Finland) manufactures and markets surface EMG
systems and applications worldwide for sports medicine, biomechanics
research, rehabilitation and occupational health applications.
Mega introduced a new ambulatory biomonitoring system, ME6000, in
November, 2002. It has 4 - 16 channels, graphics display, large
memory capacity (512 MB), MP3 verbal audio feedback and WLAN
telemetry option. The same small unit is a data logger, on-line
system and telemetry in one compact size.
The other EMG systems by Mega are 2 - 8 channels portable Muscle
Tester ME3000P, 8 - 16 channels Mespec 4000 Telemetry, 8 - 16
channels stationary Mespec 8000 and 2 channels Muscle Trainer
biofeedback system. All systems are compatible with MegaWin
software, support other sensors (HR, ECG, goniometers,
accelerometers, etc.) and are compatible with isokinetic, force
plate or motion analysis systems.
FemiScan is Mega's solution for the female urinary continence care.
The concept includes a clinic system, an interactive voice
controlled Home Trainer unit and FemiScan software. Each patient can
have her own individual training program, which can be uploaded into
the home unit. The Home Trainer speaks patient's own native language
and later on the exercises can be downloaded and followed-up in the
FemiScan software.
