POST-DOCTORAL POSITION IN NEUROPHYSIOLOGY AND BIOMECHANICS OF THE SPINE AT
PALMER CENTER FOR CHIROPRACTIC RESEARCH, DAVENPORT, IOWA

NIH funded Postdoctoral position immediately available at Palmer College of
Chiropractic. The laboratory seeks to understand the neurophysiological and
neuromuscular mechanisms contributing to the causes of low back pain and the
clinical benefits of spinal manipulation. The NIH funded project will
specifically determine how changes in vertebral position affect
proprioceptive signaling properties of muscle spindle afferents. The
laboratory uses biomechanical and neurophysiological approaches. The ideal
candidate will have a good background in the neurosciences and/or
biomechanics and be familiar with electrophysiological recordings from the
peripheral and/or central nervous system. A Ph.D. is highly desirable.

plus benefits. Up to a 4 year appointment. Send summary of research
