FINAL ANNOUNCEMENT
The third Southern California Conference on Biomechanics (SCCB) will be
held next weekend, March 28-29, 2003 at Pepperdine University in Malibu,
California, USA. The program and copies of all abstracts are posted on
the conference web site - http://faculty.pepperdine.edu/mfeltner/sccb/
In addition to the 18 free-communication presentations by undergraduate
and graduate students, the program is highlighted by two keynote
addresses. On Friday evening March 28, Dr. Christopher M. Powers from
the Department of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy at the University
of Southern California will give the SCCB keynote address entitled "The
Use Of Biomechanical Modeling To Characterize Patients With
Patellofemoral Pain". On Saturday afternoon March 29, Dr. Robert J.
Gregor from the School of Applied Physiology at Georgia Tech University
presents the ASB keynote entitled "Cycling Biomechanics: Applications in
Musculoskeletal Mechanics and Neural Control".
Conference attendance is open to all individuals. Due to the generous
support of the American Society of Biomechanics, there is no
registration fee for attending the SCCB. On-site registration for
conference attendance will be provided. However, to facilitate
conference planning, individuals planning to attend the SCCB are
requested to confirm their attendance via email. All registration
