ASSOCIATE ALLOGRAFT TEST ENGINEER
POSITION SUMMARY:
In this position, you will be responsible for hands-on research and
development efforts supporting Osteotech's allograft business in Eatontown,
New Jersey. Duties include:
* Coordination and independent management of mechanical testing projects.
* Preparation and delivery of testing protocols, technical reports,
summaries.
* Preparation of test articles and development of new testing procedures.
* Quantitative and qualitative analysis of data using statistical
software tools for regression analysis, hypothesis testing and other
standard statistical tests.
* Provide hands-on engineering of instrumentation, fixturing, and
custom-built devices for use in testing and product development.
Responsibilities in this include maintenance, construction, modifications,
documentation, and vendor sourcing/selection.
* Keep neat, accurate and careful records of laboratory testing, data,
protocols, and design changes.
* Coordinate and assist in pre-clinical testing, prototype development
and other aspects of new product development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* M.S., M.E. or equivalent in Biomaterials, Bioengineering or related
field and 0-2 years experience preferred. Will consider qualified B.S. in
bioengineering or Biomaterials with minimum 3-5 years of experience.
* Must have strong competencies in mechanical testing and biomaterials
development.
* Must be able to multi-task and work independently.
* Must be computer literate and have statistical, data analysis, and
hands-on specimen preparation skills.
* Orthopaedic/Bone research, biological, biomedical, chemical laboratory
skills, statistical, prototyping and/ or machining experience a plus.
