  • Graduate assistantship in biomechanics

    Funding is available for a graduate student starting in the fall of 2003 at
    the
    University of Wyoming.

    Degree Offered:
    MS in Kinesiology and Health, the specialist area of study would be human
    biomechanics

    Responsibilities:
    Graduate assistants are expected to contribute 20 hour per week towards
    assisting with undergraduate teaching and laboratory research.

    Current Research:
    Computer simulation of athletic movements
    Improving activities of daily living in the elderly

    Stipend:
    Stipend is $10,052.00 for nine months. Out of state tuition waivers are
    available.

    Qualifications:
    For admission of a student into the Biomechanics Program, the main
    considerations are: (a) the course background of the student (science courses,
    including physics, mechanics, mathematics, computer science, anatomy,
    physiology, etc.); and (b) the student's mathematics ("quantitative") GRE
    score, which should be at least in the high 600's. Outstanding students from
    the biological and engineering sciences are encouraged to apply.
