TOPICS
Suggested topics in the area of dental research are as follows and novel and
innovative presentations are particular welcome. Innovative applications
in dental biomechanics, imaging, modelling of tissue response and
reconstruction techniques are particularly welcome.
Dental devices, implants and orthodontics systems
Dental materials, restoration systems, cements, ceramics and wear
Non-invasive techniques
Computer assisted techniques and surgical reconstruction procedures
(Oral/maxillofacial)
Scanning and image analysis
Soft tissue analysis, bone remodelling and mechanotransduction
Numerical simulation and modelling techniques including pre-clinical
assessment
CAD, manufacturing techniques and rapid prototyping
EU PRESENTATION
Dr. Julian Braybrook of the Laboratory of the Government Chemist, UK
will give a presentation on ‘Experiences of preparing projects in EU
Framework Programme 6’. This will be followed by a Partnering and
Opportunities session to form new research consortia.
SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACT
Abstracts are invited by 1 May. Abstracts should be in English, should not
to exceed 300 words and should be forwarded to as a
word file. Authors will also have the opportunity to submit full-length
papers that will be published in a refereed journal/proceedings after the
symposium.
DEMONSTRAIONS AND SOFTWARE DISPLAY
Companies and research centres are welcome to bring displays, posters and
demonstrations to the meeting.
