    POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH POSITION
    IN HUMAN MOTOR CONTROL


    A postdoctoral position is available in the Human Motor Control
    Laboratory, School of Psychology, University of Tasmania, Australia. The
    successful applicant will work on projects funded by the Australian
    Research Council and the Australian Health Management Group Medical
    Research Fund examining therapy-induced recovery of motor function in
    chronic stroke patients and associated motor cortex reorganisation. A
    multidisciplinary perspective will be adopted incorporating
    neurophysiological and behavioural levels of analysis. Applicants must
    have a PhD and experience using electrophysiological techniques,
    especially transcranial magnetic stimulation. A background in dynamical
    systems theory would be an advantage. The ability to take a lead role in
    a multidisciplinary team and experience working with patient populations
    is essential.

    This position which is available immediately is for one year, but with
    two possible one-year extensions contingent on satisfactory progress and
    grant continuation. The salary will depend on the applicant's
    experience, but will be in the range $A49,334 to $A55,440 pa.
