Vicon Motion Systems, Ltd., Oxford, England has an immediate opening for an
International Customer Support Engineer who will specialize in System
Installations and On Site Training for new and upgrade installations of
Vicon Motion Systems Hardware and Software. These systems consist of
specialised motion capture video cameras connected to specialised
Datastations for capture and processing of data. MS Windows PC's are used
for control of the system and for all related processing applications.
This person will be based in our Oxford, England office but will be required
to travel to customer sites around the United Kingdom, Europe, and
occasionally other parts of the world including Asia, Australia and the
United States. This person will work alongside other experienced engineers
and will have access to our research and development team.
The customers served by this position are primarily hospitals, universities
and sports institutes, but will also extend to the film, broadcast and games
industries.
Support of existing customers via fax, email, and phone is also an important
component of this job.
A strong background in basic engineering or science is required for this
position as is a proven background working with customers and technology.
Applicants must be citizens of the EU or have permanent residency and work
permit for the EU. Fluency in written and spoken English is a requirement
of this job.
A background in Biomechanics, Bioengineering, or Motion Capture is a plus
for this position.
