This email outlines for podium and poster preparation guidelines for the

Biomechanics to be held at The University of Toledo September 25-27,
    2003.

    The University of Toledo

Danny M. Pincivero, Ph.D., Department of Kinesiology
    The University of Toledo

    Program Chair:
Rodger Kram, Ph.D., Department of Kinesiology and Applied Physiology,
    University of Colorado, Boulder

    Podium Presentations
The format for the podium presentations will be a 10 minute presentation
followed by a 5 minute question/answer period. All podium presentations
will be using a Powerpoint projection, unless individual speakers have
made specific requests for other presentation media to the conference
organizers. A Windows compatible PC, computer projector and a laser
pointer will be provided in each conference room. However, you are
strongly encouraged to bring your own laptop computer so as to alleviate
problems that may arise from mismatch of fonts or operating systems. We
recommend bringing a back-up copy of your presentation on record able
media regardless if you will be using your own laptop computer or ours.
The acceptable record able media is CD. Make sure all necessary files
that will be used during your presentation are copied properly.

Technical personnel in each conference room will install your
presentation files on the provided PCs. Please check in with the
session moderators BEFORE the session begins. If you are bringing your
own laptop, verify its compatibility with our projectors BEFORE the
    session begins.

    Chairpersons for Podium Sessions
The chairpersons for the podium session should arrive to the assigned
presentation room at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start of the
session, to be acquainted with the presenters and the projectionist.
The session chairperson should introduce the presenter, their
affiliation and the title of their presentation. It is the
responsibility of the session chair to keep the presentations on
schedule by maintaining presentation start time, end time and question
    period.

    Speaker Ready Room
A speaker ready room will be made available.

    Poster Presentations
Poster presentations will be distributed over the first two days of the
conference (Thursday September 25 and Friday September 26). The
dimensions for the poster must be no larger than 46" x 46". Poster
presentations assigned to Thursday September 25 must be mounted on the
assigned board no later than 9:00 AM. Posters must be taken down by
5:30 PM on that day. Posters assigned for presentation on Friday
September 26 must be mounted by 9:00 AM and removed by 5:30 PM.
Presenters assigned to Friday may wish to mount their posters Thursday
after 5:30 PM. Push pins will be provided.
