made specific requests for other presentation media to the conference
organizers. A Windows compatible PC, computer projector and a laser
pointer will be provided in each conference room. However, you are
strongly encouraged to bring your own laptop computer so as to alleviate
problems that may arise from mismatch of fonts or operating systems. We
recommend bringing a back-up copy of your presentation on record able
media regardless if you will be using your own laptop computer or ours.
The acceptable record able media is CD. Make sure all necessary files
that will be used during your presentation are copied properly.
Technical personnel in each conference room will install your
presentation files on the provided PCs. Please check in with the
session moderators BEFORE the session begins. If you are bringing your
own laptop, verify its compatibility with our projectors BEFORE the
session begins.
Chairpersons for Podium Sessions
The chairpersons for the podium session should arrive to the assigned
presentation room at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start of the
session, to be acquainted with the presenters and the projectionist.
The session chairperson should introduce the presenter, their
affiliation and the title of their presentation. It is the
responsibility of the session chair to keep the presentations on
schedule by maintaining presentation start time, end time and question
period.
