  • Research Associate Job Posting - Flow and Transport in the HumanNasal Cavity

    Imperial College London

    Research Associate
Department of Aeronautics and Department of Bioengineering

    Salary: RA1A Grade £18,265 - £20,311 plus £2,134 London Allowance per annum

Applications are invited for a research associateship to work with Professor
Robert Schroter and Dr. Denis Doorly on the dynamics of flow and transport
in the human nasal cavity. This is a BBSRC-sponsored programme with
funding for up to three years. You will be engaged primarily in
experimental studies, such as high speed laser visualization and PIV of flow
in realistic model geometries, but will also work closely with a second
    Research Associate on computational modelling.

You should hold a doctorate in the broad area of fluid dynamics, although
applicants with a good Masters or equivalent degree will also be considered.
Previous experience of PIV would be an advantage and proven capability in
CFD/Cad would be of benefit. You must be able to demonstrate the ability
to conduct research in this broad area and should be able to assist in the
training of other researchers and students in the techniques used for the
    research.

Application forms can be downloaded from
    http://www.imperial.ac.uk/hq/hr/RECAppForm2002.htm and further details are
    available from:
