Further to Ton's message regarding the Sobig virus, and specifically
identifying IP addresses...
There are NS lookup sites available through the internet. For example:
http://cc-www.uia.ac.be/ds/nslookup.html
http://www.trulan.com/nslookup.htm
http://www.bankes.com/nslookup.htm
..and if you are interested, a Google search produces many more.
I do not know about the "security" of these sites, but they will give
you the internet machine name that is associated with the numerical IP
address.
