    2nd SYMPOSIUM
    "FACTORS DETERMININGTHE EFFICIENCY OF SWIMMING TRAINING
    AND THE LEARNING-TEACHING PROCESS"


    Dear Colleagues:

    This is the second announcement and call for abstracts for the 2nd Symposium
    "Factors Determining the Efficiency of Swimming Training and the
    Learning-Teaching Process" Detailed information on the meeting format and

    Date: May 19-21, 2004

    Location: Department of Swimming, University School of Physical Education
    Wroclaw, Poland.

    Registration fees:
    150 Euro, before 15th March 2004 (Students 100 Euro)

    175 Euro, before 15th April 2004 (Students 125 Euro)

    200 Euro, after 1st May 2004 (Students 150 Euro)

    The University School of Physical Education in Wroclaw will be proud to
    welcome you at the 2nd International Symposium "Factors determining the
    efficiency of swimming training and the learning-teaching process". The main
    purpose of the meeting will be to exchange the latest research findings, to
    discuss new ideas and to initiate new projects in the area of swimming
    science and related sciences. Commitments have been received by the
    following invited speakers:
    Prof. Tadeusz Bober - Wroclaw, Poland; Prof. Patrick Pelayo - Lille, France;
    Prof. Urlik Persyn - Leuven, Belgium; Prof. Bodo Ungerechts - Bielefeld,
    Germany;
    Prof. Krystyna Zaton - Wroclaw, Poland; Prof. Marek Zaton - Wroclaw, Poland.

    In consideration of the multifaceted character of swimming science the aim
    of this Symposium is to provide a forum for scientists, trainers and
    students from all fields of swimming research, by offering state-of-the-art
    views in applied and basic sciences related to swimming sports, exercise and
    health. In keeping with the tradition of the Symposium, this meeting is a
    forum for junior researchers to present their ongoing research related to
    the swimming science.

    Abstracts:
    Abstracts will be welcomed from all areas of swimming training and teaching.
    The deadline for submitting abstracts for the symposium is February 1st,
    2004. The only format requirement for submitted abstracts is a one-page
    limit in length.
    Please submit abstracts as an attachment in either PDF or MS Word format to
    rejmar@awf.wroc.pl or jaszczak@awf.wroc.pl. Any questions regarding abstract
    submission can be sent to the same e-mail address.

    We look forward to seeing you all at the symposium, and to receiving your
    abstracts.
