to be held in Lisbon, PORTUGAL, August 27-28, 2004.(
www.fmh.utl.pt/shoulder-ISG2004/index.htm)
The International Shoulder Group (ISG) is an official Technical Working
Group of the International Society of Biomechanics. The ISG is composed
mostly by biomechanically oriented research groups, whose main interest
lies in the shoulder, and clinicians who work to understand the
biomechanics and control of the shoulder and to develop techniques to
clinically address pathologies of the shoulder. The main goal of the ISG
is to enhance shoulder research by exchanging ideas, methodologies, data
and results. The exchange of researchers as well as the possibility for
e-contacts is also goals of the ISG.
The 2004 ISG meeting is sponsored by the Faculty of Human Kinetics,
Technical University of Lisbon, Portugal, and will be held in the
Estoril Coast.
The goal of the 2004 ISG Conference is to promote interactions among
researchers working on various aspects of the shoulder, there including
ergonomists and clinicians working to develop treatments for shoulder
disabilities. Papers focussing on shoulder biomechanics and modelling,
ergonomics, orthopaedics, rehabilitation, and neural control, are
welcome.
The 2004 ISG Conference will feature both oral and poster presentations.
The official language of the Conference is English.
This conference will be organised around the following topics (but are
not limited to):
* Shoulder Pathologies and Clinical Intervention
* Shoulder & Ergonomics
* Shoulder & Sports
* Shoulder Biomechanics, Computational Modelling and Motor Control
Important dates are as follows:
ABSTRACTS SUBMISSION: MAY 1, 2004
NOTIFICATION OF Acceptance: MAY 2o, 2004
