Research Physical Therapist

A research position is available for a trained and licensed physical therapist to contribute as a member of a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation research team. The therapist will work closely with rehabilitation physicians, biomedical engineers, neuroscientists, and other researchers on a variety of rehabilitation research projects in the area of electrical stimulation, motor control, metabolism, cardiovascular regulation, and assistive technology. Research and clinical experience in neurological rehabilitation, electrical stimulation techniques, and assistive technology are highly desired.
This position will support research projects within the Department of Clinical Neurobiology and Bioengineering. The research team collaborates closely with a number of researchers from the Center for Rehabilitation Neuroscience and Rehabilitation Engineering of the Arizona Biodesign Institute of Arizona State University. The research position will emphasize collaborative projects with this group and with clinicians and researchers from other hospital departments as well as with University-based researchers.
MS Physical Therapy with 3+ years of clinical experience as a physical therapist; word processing and computer skills; competency in operating equipment used in physical therapy clinic. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with BHS values, management expectations, and service standards
