    EPSRC PhD Studentship in Bioengineering
    Bioengineering Research Group - Anglia Polytechnic University, Chelmsford Campus

    A post exists at APU for a PhD studentship in Bioengineering, working with local Orthopaedic Surgeons, to investigate the stability of total hip replacements. The project is funded by EPSRC and will involve collaboration with Orthopaedic Departments of local hospitals. Applications are invited from graduate engineers who hold or expect to gain an honours degree (with class 2.1 or better) in a relevant discipline from a UK university. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in finite element methods and / or Material Science.

    The three-year studentship is available from September 2004. The EPSRC stipend is £8,500 per annum; the home rate registration fees will be waived by APU. An application form can be downloaded from: http://www.isc.anglia.ac.uk/bioeng/default.htm
