    IFESS Mission Statement
The purpose of IFESS is to promote the research, application, and
understanding of electrical stimulation as it is utilised in the field
of medicine through meetings tutorials publications and exchange of
    information.

The society is truly multidisciplinary and includes clinicians,
scientists, engineers and therapists who are involved in fundamental
research, product development and clinical trials as well as those
involved in using FES techniques in their clinical practice. The IFESS
website www.ifess.org can provide more information on IFESS publications
and the use of electrical stimulation for a wide range of clinical
    conditions.

scientific level. Neuromodulation is defined as the therapeutic
alteration of the central, peripheral and autonomic nervous systems by
implanted devices. This has major applications in the treatment of
chronic pain, movement disorders, spasticity and epilepsy. For more
    information see www.neuromodulation.com

This meeting is organised by FESnet, the U.K. FES network, funded by
