  • Graduate Work at UVa Center for Applied Biomechanics

The Center for Applied Biomechanics at the University of Virginia is
currently looking for qualified graduate candidates for our Military
    Programs division.

Our research area involves high rate and military biomechanics, often
including blast and ballistic threats. Research interests range from
the applied development of human injury criteria, to the development of
fundamental material models of human tissue and the computation of human
dynamics and kinematics. The Center is a large collaborative group of
approximately 50 people including faculty, staff, and students with
emphasis on automobile impact biomechanics, military biomechanics and
other aspects of impact and injury biomechanics.

If you are interested in further discussions regarding one of our
openings, please contact Dale Bass, Director of Military Programs
(434-296-7288 ext. 118; bass@virginia.edu), or Rob Salzar, Senior
    Scientist (434-296-7288 ext. 135; salzar@virginia.edu).
