Director of Biomechanics Laboratory
The Department of Physical Therapy, in the School of Health Sciences,
seeks a full-time Director for its Biomechanics Laboratory. The
Director will be responsible for the administration of a new,
state-of-the-art laboratory that serves students in Physical Therapy,
Occupational Therapy and Athletic Training programs.
The Biomechanics Lab includes an eight-camera real-time motion analysis
system, two force plates and a 16 channel real-time Noraxon EMG system.
Candidates must have significant experience with this equipment and the
integration of associated software packages. The primary role of the
Director will be to work closely with the university faculty in the
development of educational materials related to biomechanics. In
addition the Director will teach two courses per semester in the
Department of Physical Therapy and will report to the Chair of the
Department of Physical Therapy.
Qualifications for this position include a Ph.D. in Biomechanics or
related field and a minimum of 5 years of work experience in a
Biomechanics Lab. ABD will be considered. This full-time, 12-month,
administrative position is available July 1, 2004.
