The School of Biomedical Engineering, Science, and Health Systems at Drexel
University invites nominations and applications for tenure track faculty
positions in biomedical engineering starting September 2004. We are seeking
outstanding candidates committed to leading interdisciplinary research
teams and to networking with medical schools and industry. Qualified
applicants with research background in Bioinformatics, Biosensors,
Neuroengineering, Biomechanics and Nano-Technology are particularly
encouraged to apply. Candidates with a track record of extramurally funded
research will be given a favorable consideration. The successful candidates
are expected to conduct leading edge research, advise graduate students in
their theses research and participate in teaching and curriculum
development at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Drexel's School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems is an
independent university level interdisciplinary academic unit comprised of a
multidisciplinary team of faculty whose tenure resides in the school.
Outstanding collaborations exist with both the College of Engineering and
the College of Medicine as well as the numerous industries in the
Philadelphia area.
Drexel University is a private urban university located in center city
Philadelphia and is recognized for its traditionally strong technological
focus and career-integrated education. The School of Biomedical Engineering
Science and Health Systems is a nationally recognized center for biomedical
engineering and science research and education. The School confers (ABET
accredited) undergraduate degrees in Biomedical Engineering and graduate
degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Biomedical Science.
