RESEARCH POSITION IN LOCOMOTION
UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL BALGRIST IN ZURICH
A research associate position in Locomotion is available in the research
department of the spinal cord injury center of the Balgrist University
Hospital in Zurich (Switzerland).
The research will be mainly related to locomotion therapy performed with the
robotic gait orthosis "Lokomat" developed in this group. The center is
headed by Prof. Volker Dietz and the projects will be done under supervision
of Prof. Robert Riener and Dr. Gery Colombo.
The main focus of the projects will be the investigation of training effects
in subjects with spinal cord injury, the optimization of the functionality
of the robot, and the clinical evaluation of assessment tools integrated
into the machine.
We are looking for a candidate with research experience, PhD preferably in
physical therapy or a similar field. The position will be for 2 years, and
can be extended for a longer period. It is available immediately.
